These works by Filipina graphic designer Abi Goy make me smile. They’re fun and feminine yet strong at the same time. Apart from illustrations for popular children’s books, Goy also creates cute postcards and pillowcase designs. I wonder what inspires her to make these whimsical but chic illustrations. Her other works, which you can find at her website, will definitely make you instant fans. -lilli

Oooohhh! I know Abi through a friend.
They’re also the great minds behind Studio Dialogo.
Anyway, just wanted to commend you guys for putting up this design blog. I have so many foreign design blogs in my Google Reader, but was hoping someone would put up a local version with local suppliers and ideas that were tailor-fitted to Pinoy sensibilities. Case in point: that A/C unit in Nina’s walk-in-closet — you’d never see that in American/European blogs.
You guys are definitely at the top of my design feeds.
Kudos!

thanks for the kind words ym!
a/c unit in nina’s wic–haha, correct! nice observation! also, its placement near the floor will give you an idea around what year/decade it was originally installed.
