These chairs look plush and comfy! I wonder if he was inspired by Disney’s Tangled…

The chairs are made of braided fabric–braided wool for indoor chairs and braided acrylic fabric (Sunbrella) for outdoor chairs. You can download the full specifications here.

    rapunzel is one of the new designs from 2011 presentation at the “maison et objet” in paris.
    as the main materials within his designs mostly derive directly out of mother nature, this is one of the first pieces where the main material is a fabric. a very smooth and cozy feeling one which gives a fabolous feeling/touch of the surface.
    the piece is also extremely cozy to sit in – which i have tested out for quite a while…
