welcome to design folder!

Written by designfolder on October 5, 2009 – 9:43 am -

Maybe some of you may have also noticed that there are not much dedicated design blogs from the Philippines, or at least from Manila.

Right now, the most accessible local source of design inspiration and information would be magazines, some broadsheets, and of course, TV. The internet, which I feel is one of the most accessible media right now, doesn’t have much to offer.

Some may argue that there are already a lot of foreign websites dealing with design and decoration. The problem is that their information, suppliers, and design ideas are often not applicable to our local setting, aesthetic taste, and budget (let’s face it, most of us can’t afford to execute many of their design tips)

Design folder would like to fill that virtual spot.

As the name implies, this site is all about design—from the latest in architecture and interior design down to furniture and crafts, as well as the most interesting city spots and scenic travel destinations. We’ll also throw in occasional polls to get to know what our readers think and prefer when it comes to design and trends.

Expect regular posts on inspiring design features and makeovers (we promise to post a lot of pictures), easy but professional-looking diy projects, inspiring places here and abroad, plus a bit of design know-how, particularly in the area of green design. In short, everything that will guide and inspire you to improve your own little space and our bigger space, earth.

Consider design folder as your free design magazine.

Read on and enjoy! signature
